Performance Course

Course TrainerAbout the course.

All Performance Riding Courses are student centred using coaching techniques which tailor the input to the individual as required
As such there is no set programme, but all courses will ensure that riders leave with an understanding of:
Counter-steering and weight transfer.
Throttle balance and braking.
Friction circle theory and tyre performance>
information gathering and planning to ride.
Positioning and gear selection.
Mind control!
Use of spped.

It is our intention that riders will discover the art of " GOING FAST SLOWLY" increasing their confidence, smoothness and safety

The Coach
Your coach on the Performance Riding School is Simon Hiscock
He is a former Police motorcycle rider who has been coaching high performance riding and driving for over 15 years. His riding with the Police was marked in the top 5% of his peers and he holds a Police Class One Advanced Certificate for both cars and motorcycles and is a ROSPA Examiner.
He is a member of both IAM and ROSPA as well as the High Performance Club (HPC) for whom he has coached and lectured on driving related topics.
He is currently competing in the UKD1 Drifting Championship for cars and is a former graduate of The Yamaha Race School. He is also a regular visitor to The Nurbergring and most uk race circuits.

Rest Stops
To ensure the safety of all participents all first rides will include a 30 minute break and all day course will include a lunch stop and two other short rest breaks.

Clothing And Conduct
The Perormance Riding School is aimed at riders who are serious about developing their personal skill which will further their enjoyment of motorcycling.
As such no rider should consume alcohol before or during a course and must ensure that they conduct themselves in a way which both the safety of their fellow students, themselves and most importantly - The Instructor.
All riders must wear adequate protective clothing and are reminded that they will be in control of their machine at all times. South East Motorcycle Training Limited do not accept any liability for speeding tickets, crashes or involuntary enjoyment during the course.
